Kashmir cushions bought from our store are handmade and Fair Trade. Fair Trade is a partnership between producers
and traders which guarantees that producers receive good working conditions and fair prices. The Kashmir cushion
covers are hand embroidered in a small independent group in Kashmir, India. The Kashmiri people use traditional
techniques using locally dyed wool, and then chain-stitch the threads by hand to the cushion cover.
Our Kashmir cushions have a modern art theme to them, based on artists such as Kandinsky, Klimt and Miro.
Kandinsky is recognized as painting the first modern abstract works, and Miro for producing surrealist art seemingly
inspired by particular styles such as cubism. These artists' work provided the inspiration for these contemporary cushions.
The Kashmir cushions have a funky, designer feel to them, and provide the perfect complement to your home furnishings.
There is such a range of colourful and unique designs to choose from, and they can be delivered straight to your
door, just a day after you order!
