All our Kashmir rugs are produced in a Fair Trade environment in which the workers in Kashmir work in a village setting. So no factories are involved and all the workers are adults who set their own rates for the work they do. They're hand embroidered using traditional techniques with locally dyed wool. This is a fusion of 15th Century craftwork with modern artistic designs to make amazing creations for the home. The contemporary rugs all have strong cotton backing to them and can be cleaned with recommended wool-cleaning methods.
